Fiber Show Results
When planning
your Fleece Show, please assign your show a separate name that is indicative
that it is a fleece show. Eg. If you have fleece classes with your
Perfect Llama Show, then list the fleece classes as Perfect Llama Fleece
Show. This will enable the Office to post your fleece classes and results
in the appropriate location on the Fleece Show Calendar so fiber enthusiasts
will be able to locate fleece shows and classes easily. This will
definitely help increase show entries. Since there is a separate show
sanctioning fee, the fleece show is separate from your show with halfter and
performance classes. There is also a separate Fleece Results Form to post
show results so the results can also be posted in the appropriate location.

New Rules from 2006
New rule for shorn fleece classes: There will be no staple length maximum
for fleeces shown from animals age 24 months and under.

Walking Fiber is a Sanctioned Class.
1) The ALSA Walking Fleece and/or
Shorn Fleece Show must be sanctioned as a separte show - as a Fleece
Show.
2) There is a $25.00 Show Sanctioning Fee for a Fleece Show which
includes Walking or Shorn classes or both together.
3) A qualified ALSA Fleece Judge is required to judge fleece
classes.
4) There is a $3.00 ALSA Fleece Fee per shorn fleece or walking
fleece that must be sent to ALSA along with the result of the
show.
However ..... if the ALSA Walking Fleece and/or Shorn Fleece Show class
are held in conjunction with an ALSA Halter, Performance, and/or Youth
Show AND the animal is also enrolled in that particular show, the $3.00
Fleece Fee will be waived in lieu of the $5.00 per animal ALSA Animal
Recording Fee.
If the ALSA Walking Fleece and/or Shorn Fleece Show animal is not entered in the
accompanying show, then that particular animal must pay the $3.00 per animal fee
for the Fleece Show.
